For Mom!

I made this painting for my mom for Mother's Day. This is a poem her mother, who died when my mom was 10 yrs. old, had tacked on the wall. My mom assumed she loved it so much, to just tack it up on the wall, and after her mother's passing she committed to memorizing it. It has been passed down in our family and I was so pleased to make this for her, now I just want to make myself one!!!

Sweet Owl

This is just a sweet little owl I recreated for a party I went to where I showed some ladies how I do my art, and how they can also create their own art for their kiddos rooms, themselves, etc. I found a picture like this on a website, not sure of the name, but it was a website for kids rooms, decoration, etc. I like to find things that inspire me and then recreate them and put my own little spin on them:) This one is for sale if anyone wants it, just leave a comment - first come, first served!

John's Painting

This is a painting my husband and I worked on together. My sister and her husband took a trip to Mexico MANY years ago and visited a little art gallery there. John, my sister's husband, liked this painting and so she took a picture of it, brought the picture home, had us re-create it - and make it into our own interpretation, and then she SUPRISED him with it as a gift for his birthday! This is one of my all time favorites!!!! It hangs in their entryway so I still get to see it often:)

So here's the finished product of a painting I did for my wonderful friend and photographer Linsey! I hope she LOVES it! I took these pics tonight, might need to do another one during the day! This one's with the flash!

Sarah's Painting

My friend Angie has a little girl named Sarah, and not too long ago she rearranged her room into a BIG GIRL room! Her bedding is pink and brown with these flowers on it, and I was honored to paint her this painting to go with it:)!!! I wish this could be my day job - I love doing paintings for friends!

Resolutions

One of my new year's resolutions is to be more proactive about my art. So...I am starting this new blog to showcase my artwork. It's called Laugh Love Create because that pretty much sums up my life. I'm an easy going christian girl who likes to laugh, loves deeply, and is inspired frequently to create - three simple things that make me, well, ME! Once it gets going I might even try to sell - but I'll figure that out later. In the meantime, enjoy...and comment if you see something you like!
